Consignor instructions
We want our sale to be highly successful with a good reputation. We also want you to have great success consigning with us. For this reason, all items submitted to our sale must be high quality, and gently used!
New this sale: Each consignor will have a limit of 200 items overall. Our awesome location at the Mall of Georgia will be a huge success, but we are having to be creative with our space, which means we are counting on you to be creative as well. A shirt by itself on a hanger counts as one item, but a shirt with a pair of pants, matching socks, sweater, and hairbow on a hanger also counts as one item. It also looks more appealing to the customer when they can get a complete outfit at a better price than they can find anywhere else in the mall. It won't be a problem to get your desired items into the sale as long as you think outside the box.
Items we will NOT accept for our 2010 Fall/Winter sale:
- Juniors
- Maternity
- VHS Tapes
- Homeschool materials
- Bedding
Items we will accept for our 2010 Fall/Winter Sale:
Please read carefully through the items we will accept. Some of them have limitations placed on them that you need to be aware of.
Clothing
This is our Fall and Winter sale, therefore we will only be accepting Fall and Winter infant/children's clothing with the exception of school uniform type clothing that may be short sleeve. We will accept clothing in size 0-18 (infant to big kid sizes). Remember, no junior sizes. In 0-24 mos girls and 0-18 mos boys we can only accept 25 pieces total NOT 25 pieces in each size. Smaller sizes do not sell as well as bigger ones. We want to encourage you to group pieces together. Ex: shirt/pants, dress/leggings, two to three sleepers grouped together, or matching sleeper/blanket combo. Other clothing items we will accept include, Halloween costumes in excellent condition, dance wear, and winter coats and jackets. We will accept accessories such as tights, hairbows, hats and gloves, but keep in mind the item will sell better if paired with an outfit.
We absolutely will not accept clothes with stains, rips, or tears or any clothing that we feel is outdated or out of season. Do whatever is necessary to make sure your garments are in excellent condition (ex. wash, iron, mend). We cannot stress this enough. We are going to have to be especially picky this year. Our space is limited and we are competing with stores in the mall that will have brand new clothing. Our items have to be top notch. We know it's hard to have anything rejected. We've been there ourselves, but try not to take it personally. Some stains may not show up in the light in your home, but are very apparent when you are under a different light.
When hanging clothing, the hanger should look like a question mark when looking at the front of the garment. The tag should be fastened to the garment using SAFETY PINS ONLY! When looking at the garment, attach the tag to the upper right portion. For two pieces, hang the shirt or dress on the hanger, and then safety pin the bottoms or pants to the top of the hanger.
Shoes
Shoes should be in "like new" condition. Because of space limitations, we are only accepting FIVE pairs of shoes per consignor. Excessively worn or scuffed shoes will not be accepted. We will also not accept shoes in ziplock bags or shoe boxes. This makes them harder to see and less desirable to buy! Attach them together with safety pins or zip ties. Tags can be taped to the bottom, or safety pinned to the shoe.
Toys/Equipment
All toys should be in excellent condition, in working order, with all parts attached. Please check for recalled items by clicking here, as we can not sell any items that have been recalled. Make sure battery operated toys have working batteries in them. We will NOT accept fast food toys or stuffed animals unless they perform (ex. Hokey Pokey Elmo). Please do not tape multiple books together. Secure them with twine NOT yarn. Then pin tag to the twine. Small toys such as cars, action figures, etc can be bagged together and secured with tape. Make sure puzzles and games have all pieces and are well secured! If toys have multiple parts that can easily come off, it is your responsibility to make sure they are well secured. We do our best to maintain order, but when there are large crowds and lots of children, it becomes impossible to be everywhere at once. Please go over your items carefully and secure any and every part that may come off and be lost.
Baby Equipment
We cannot accept car seats over five years old. Please make sure all carseats, strollers, and baby equipment have been checked for possible recalls using the link listed above. We can accept a limited number of infant furniture pieces which include cribs, pack n plays, bassinets, rocking chairs, and changing tables. Please contact us if you have one of these to sell. Once we've reached our maximum number, we will not be able to accept more. Keep in mind there will not be space to set these up, so they will be in the sale unassembled. You can attach a picture of the piece fully assembled so the customer will have a better idea what it looks like.
Home Decor
We will only be accepting kid's decor and Southern Living at Home decor items that are like new for our fall and winter sale.
Pricing Guidelines
We have a new minimum price of $2.50. This again, is to encourage you to group items together and also help increase your sales. If you don't feel the item is worth that much, perhaps it shouldn't be included in the sale. Generally speaking, at a consignment sale, items will sell for about 1/3 of the retail price. Bigger sizes/items can be sold for a higher price as well as name brands such as Gymboree, Gap, Polo, etc. Please be realistic with your pricing. Think about what you would pay for the item, and also keep in mind, though there are improvements in the economy, there are still many families who are struggling, and unemployment in our state remains high. We don't want you to "give" your item away, but we do want you to think this through as you prepare for the sale.

Once you've gathered your items, you are ready to enter them on our site! Simply, click on inventory at the top of the page and you're ready to begin. You don't have to do it all at once. You can save your work and finish at your convenience. Once you have entered in all of your items, you are ready to print. Please print your tags on cardstock paper only! We recommend brightly colored cardstock, which helps with the sorting process at the end of the sale. Tags should be attached to garments using safety pins only. If you are attaching the tags to items that are not clothing, clear packing tape works best. If you use masking tape, please don't cover the barcode with it as this will hinder us when checking out customers during the sale. If you are using another tagging system besides our own, please enter your seller number in the alternate number slot of your profile. If it will not accept your number, that means it is already taken. You will need to contact us so we can work something out We will not accept handwritten tags.
